My career in real estate began as an administrative assistant for an independent real estate broker, after obtaining my Bachelor of Arts degree from York University. Being an administrative assistant provided me with a strong knowledge of the paperwork necessary to complete any real estate transaction along with the ability to market properties. Realizing my passion for the business, I become a Realtor in 1982.
I have extensive first hand knowledge in new home construction. I also have a vision when it comes to properties that have been neglected and in need of TLC. My expertise in vacant land and cottage/recreational properties completes my value as a sales representative. I am an Accredited Senior Agent which qualifies me to properly counsel senior citizens during real estate transactions. Less than 1% of Realtors have this designation. I am also an Accredited Buyer Representative. This designation allows me to understand the special needs of buyers. I have additional knowledge and experience that takes me a step beyond a sales representative who only concentrates on listing property for sellers.
Coupled with this knowledge, my extensive marketing skills, my diligence and tenacity, I promise to do the best job possible.
I am active in the community and have personally hosted a number of fundraising events for the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, Caledon Community Services, Matthews House Hospice and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. I am also a committee member for the Canada's Fresh Water Summit held annually in Coboconk and the Santa Claus Parade also held annually in Coboconk.
